Nutrition Basics


 

      Nutrition doesn't always mean a plate of salads and numbers all day. As a matter of fact that's what people said many times on the internet. But our life doesn't always go like that. Morningrush hour. Dinner late in the night. Weird snacks around midnight. Yes, they happened.A couple years ago one of my friend always feel tired everyday. Nothing really serious at first.Just low energy. He usually skipping breakfast and keep drinking tea and fast food plus sugary drinks. The simplest option. And cheaper. Gradually his body start reacting. Headaches. Sleep problems. Changes in mood. All of the small thing build up quickly.The body indeed need proper fuel to function. Carbohydrate provides energy for work and daily activity. Protein help recovery and repair of muscle. Good fats support the brain although many people is still fearing fats no reason. Water is essential too. More than we realize.

 Good nutrition don't require fancy diets or foods from expensive brands. Sometimes a simpler meals is much better. Rice,vegetable, fruits, egg, fish, nut, are all foods. Real food. What your grandpa maybe used to trust more than pre-pack snacks.

Eating more than you need, even if it's good food, will still make you unhealthy in the long run. Some person always skipping meals for losing weight. Which in result he ends up with excessive eating in the midnight and then repeat the circle.

Healthy eating is never about perfection.Nobody eat perfectly every single day, it's almost impossible probably. The goal is trying to make good choice in little by little. An extra cup of water. Less soda. Try to add more fruits in work breaks instead of chips.

Small habit, big change. And over the long time our body will notice it even when we don't even know.
